### Assessing [[Resources/Human Health Risk Assessment]] Data
Twenty-five years ago I had dream of creating dynamic [[Resources/Human Health Risk Assessment]] reports that were a narrative linked to a dataset, a calculation engine, and visualizations (tabular, graphical (plots), and maps).
Such a report would include all the typical components of reports:
- table of contents
- intro
- background
- approach (data eval exposure toxicity)
- results (risk characterization)
- summary
- conclusions
- references
- tables
- summary of data used
- summary of inputs
- summary of results
- summary of conclusions
- figures
- site location
- site plan
- sample locations
- sample results on site plan
- other visualizations
- appendixes
- data used in report
- detailed calculations
- attachments
- samples
- data base
But it would be live. Dynamic. The underlying data is update and the entire report updates. The calculation equations or models are revised, improved or replaced, and the entire report updates.
Are we at a point where we can do this?
I can see that someone would say we were always able to do this. Yes, but at a cost of budget and schedule. And costs of time and budget for operation and maintenance would have been significant
Now I think we are there. So much of software development and data science does seem to have a philosophy of building on the what has already been built. I am not a programmer or professional data scientist but I perceive that everything happens faster with less cost.
